MacDill Air Force Base- SoCom

This project was completed at MacDill Air Force Base – SOCOM, where our team conducted a comprehensive impedance roof moisture survey covering approximately 30,000 square feet of roofing. Using Tramex Dec Scanner and Roof/Wall Scanner technology, we systematically evaluated the roof assembly to identify areas of trapped moisture and compromised insulation beneath the membrane. The impedance survey allowed us to accurately map moisture-affected zones. Detailed findings were provided to the client, clearly outlining locations where insulation replacement was required prior to continuing with planned roofing work. This data-driven approach helped reduce unnecessary tear-off, improve repair planning, and ensure that future roof work would be performed over a dry and stable substrate.By completing the impedance scan before construction activities resumed, the client was able to make informed decisions, control repair costs, and extend the overall service life of the roof system.
