Thermal Roof Scanning
Infrared drone roof inspections for Tampa Bay commercial buildings — revealing trapped moisture before it becomes an expensive problem.
Using high-resolution infrared cameras mounted on professional drones, we capture thermal images of your roof’s surface to reveal temperature differences invisible to the naked eye. Wet insulation and trapped moisture hold heat differently than dry areas, so our thermal scans quickly pinpoint problem spots across your entire roof — without any equipment ever touching the surface.
How It Works
As the sun heats your roof throughout the day, wet insulation retains heat longer than dry insulation. By scanning shortly after sunset, our infrared cameras capture these temperature differences as a clear thermal map, highlighting areas where moisture may be trapped beneath the roofing membrane.
What It's Good For
- Single-ply roofing (TPO, PVC, EPDM)
- Built-up and multi-ply roofing systems
- Large commercial roofs where fast, full-coverage scanning saves time
- Identifying trouble spots before a coating or re-cover project
Why It Matters
Catching moisture problems early means smaller, targeted repairs instead of a full roof replacement. A thermal scan gives you a clear picture of your roof’s condition so you can make informed, cost-effective decisions about maintenance and repairs.
Our Scanning Process
- Scans are scheduled shortly after sunset, when temperature contrast is greatest
- The drone flies a consistent grid pattern to capture full roof coverage
- Thermal imagery is reviewed and cross-checked against the roof's layout
- Findings are mapped into a report showing exactly where moisture may be present
What You'll Receive
After the scan, you’ll get a clear report with thermal imagery and a marked-up map of your roof showing exactly where moisture may be present — so you know precisely what needs attention and can plan repairs with confidence.
